Reoccurring and Past Events:

Sunsets at the Bench on the Bayou

You are invited to join your neighbors on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the bench that D.A.N.A., built at the corner of Moss and DeSaix Street to enjoy the sunset and the view.  Bring your favorite beverage. At this informal gathering, you can meet the neighbors, brainstorm ideas (more benches, events on the Bayou etc.) for the organization or just chat.

Pelican Basketball – D.A.N.A.’s night

D.A.N.A., has registered with the Pelicans to host a neighborhood night at one of next season’s games.  We will get a discounted group rate which may include some refreshments.  If we have enough participants, we get to go on the floor at the end of the game and have a photo taken with some of the cheerleaders.  Watch the website for details or come to a D.A.N.A., meeting.

Movie Night

As soon as the weather cools, D.A.N.A., will team up with NORD to sponsor a movie night.  Bring your own chairs, blankets, snacks and enjoy a show – like the drive-in without a car!  If you would like to help organizing this event, please contact Meghan Niehaus on D.A.N.A.’s Facebook page.

Night Out Against Crime

Our Night Out Against Crime is every October on the Circle at DeSaix and Gentilly Blvds.

Susan G, Komen – Race for the Cure

D.A.N.A. hosts a team to walk/run to support a cure for breast cancer.  Team captain is Pam Harris-Coward.  We need you to join the team! Or you can support the effort by making a contribution.  To register or contribute, please go to www.komenneworleans.org and look for “DeSaix Area Neighborhood”.
